Need good tips to improve my language skills in English. Current level is already so B1. My goal is C1 or higher.

Why does he want to learn English so fast and time-consuming for God's sake? - BECAUSE the recruitment requirement of my dream job so demands!

- Currently bsw. I only do the methods listed below. Of course, I'm ready to do more.
With Netflix, books and possibly new hobbies I would like to work up.

To my person, visit the 9th grade of a secondary school so I have a few more years to graduation in front of me.

My weaknesses are speaking and pronunciation / vocabulary. Grammar is not as difficult as I thought.

Student exchanges are out of the question for me as well as stays.

Methods: e.g. Learn vocabulary, sing and understand your favorite songs

Netflix: Good series / films for beginners bsw. Advanced?

Books: which one reads in adolescence bsw. No novels or anything… Harry Porter e.g.

Hobbies: Does anyone know hobbies or any platforms where you communicate each other in English? ^^

Other: for further suggestions I'm open…

My other questions would be:

How did you learn a language on a permanent basis?
How long did it take?
and what were your methods?

So thank you for reading through, all the best and in advance I would like to thank you.

So I learned English (C1 +) by having a lot of personal contact with English speakers (have family and friends in USA).

Also, my US exchange in the 9th grade helped me a lot with the everyday use of English. When I was there, I even thought in English and dreamed. Since then I watch all movies and TV shows on Netflix in English (ie American movies and TV shows of course).

Singing and understanding the music Proposal of yourself I find a great idea. Especially to expand vocabulary! You should also read many English books. And if you do not understand words, mark and look up the translation. And by reading, I do not just fly over, but really try to understand every sentence, even if it can be exhausting and annoying. That helps!

Simply your favorite series that you know well and have seen many times (I just hope that this is something with more level) in English with subtitles look. The fact that you should actually know well, it would be easy for you out of the context and with the background knowledge to memorize the words. For me it is eg so that I can quote almost everything from altered carbon and for my part I have thereby, with the technology, my English quickly and easily improved.
