Iphone 11 vs 12 mini?
I'm thinking of buying a new phone and can't decide between the two.
The handy size, which I think is great, speaks in favor of the 12 mini, but I'm not sure whether the battery is sufficient. I'm on the phone for 4-6 hours a day.
I'm mostly on WhatsApp or social media and never watch YouTube or Netflix on my mobile phone. Do you think I can get through the day with the battery or would that be 11 better?
I have a normal Iphone 12, my girlfriend an Iphone 11, her battery lasts significantly longer than mine, but it may also be because I'm on social media around 9 o'clock.
(But she is watching Netflix and YouTube on her cell phone, and that actually consumes a lot of battery, but her battery is actually empty only in the evening)
The IPhone 11 offers 17 hours of video playback and the IPhone 12 Mini, which is also more expensive, 15 hours of video playback.
Better buy the iPhone 11. That makes more sense.
The iPhone 12 Mini should have a DoT (Display on Time) of around 7 1/2 hours, depending on the application.
It should even have a better battery life compared to the iPhone 11, whereby it depends on what content you play on it. Since the iPhone 12 Mini has an OLED display, darker content ensures that the battery discharges more slowly.
Such values are often nonsense and not practical.
The iPhone 12 Mini again has an OLED display and newer SoC (with 5nm instead of 7nm), so the battery life is about the same, if not better, in practice.
In addition, the questioner wrote that she does not want to watch Netflix or YouTube (although I first overlooked it).
