Connect tv to iPad for transmission?

I wanted to ask whether it is possible to connect my iPad to my TV with the help of a cable so that I can watch Netflix on the TV? My TV can't be connected to the internet. Would that work anyway

I do it without cables, via Apple TV.

They are available for little money on eBay classifieds, for example. With it you can throw everything from the mobile phone / tablet onto the telly and watch it there.
