Tablet or iPad for school?

Hi, my school is going digital and we have been asked to get a tablet. It doesn't matter if Apple or Microsoft. I can't decide whether to get the iPad or a tablet because I'm not familiar with it, I just want to write on it, save a few pictures and files and sometimes watch Netflix, nothing else.

So an iPad is also a tablet ^^

Just as information, because you wrote "Tablet" or "iPad" when asked.

Apple is way too expensive. Other devices & brands are just as good and fast, but much cheaper. In addition, you have no restrictions, a longer guarantee, etc.

If it is only needed "like that" anyway, I would buy a SAMSUNG tablet.

But you also have to realize that the cheap tablets (80-100 euro) are small and slower. If you spend 250-450 euro you get a bigger one (10.1 "etc.) and faster accordingly.

I have nothing against Apple and as a man I like technology, but why should you spend more money on less or the same performance?

To write it "neutral":

Go to MediaMarkt, Saturn, TEVI, Expert, etc. And take a look at different tablets on site, test them and then make a decision without looking at the brand and the price. I always do it that way. Or order online, test and then send back the rest that YOU don't need.

🤨🤔

Well, Microsoft Surface is an obvious choice for Office in class / for homework. MS Office also runs on Android.

Just for info. An iPad is also a tablet.

Ja

An iPad is a fine thing… However, one should take into account that no Windows programs will work on it - even the Office programs (Word, Excel etc.) can only be installed on it to a very limited extent.

File handling with an iPad is of course not as "simple" as e.g. With a Windows tablet / notebook.

On the subject of "handwritten notes" it should be said that from October the handwriting recognition on the iPad has already been greatly improved with iPadOS, it currently only works with an additionally installed English keyboard… Means - many words are not recognized correctly, which is sometimes very annoying…

Maybe you take a look at Microsoft's Surface series… The Surface Go is a small, practical tablet / notebook with a keyboard and pencil. The handwriting recognition works great and the Office programs run perfectly.

I have an IPad, which is also a tablet, can only recommend it to you.
