My 12 year old daughter wants to watch the Netflix series Kalifat should I let her watch it? Her argument was: something like that happens in series often in real life. Should I let them watch your opinion?
There should actually be somewhere from which age it can be seen. Better to stick to.
Since the series is from 16, which will have a reason, keep it away for now. Since she is still 12, I think she is clearly too young for FSK 16 series / films. 14 and 15 would still be okay. But you have to decide it as a parent
Depends on how far it is. I don't know the series, but the way it describes a few people below is a lot of violence. There are children who can see something like this and who can't. I'm one of the first, I'm also 12 and watch things like The walking Dead, simply because I don't mind seeing blood and intestines and things like that. What is your daughter like? Does she hold her eyes when a film scene gets tougher, or does she look at it calmly and shows no problems? Maybe watch a few episodes yourself and then decide, but always consider when making your decision whether you find this too brutal for YOU or for your daughter.
