Can you go to school even though you are on sick leave?

So I went to the doctor yesterday and he wrote me off until Friday. Now I'm at home and I just can't sleep, no matter what I try, because I just have incredible pain in my throat and stomach. So I just lie in my bed and am on the phone or watch netflix. I tried to sleep about an hour ago, but then lay in bed for over 30 minutes and it just didn't work. And now my mother would like to send me to school tomorrow because I'm fine again '' just because I'm not sleeping.

Is she even allowed to do that, even though I'm on sick leave until Friday?

You can go to school, but you don't have to

Well, the doctor won't just have put you on sick leave. Please stay at home. I would find it very irresponsible to go to school sick during the current Corona times. (even if it is not Corona or the symptoms)

I also had to do a test at the doctor's yesterday, but we won't get the results until Friday. Of course the doctor didn't just do it like that. I have something in the gastrointestinal area, say throw up, etc.

I don't want to go to school either and I'm not really well either, but my mother says I should go to school because I'm supposed to be fine because I'm not sleeping yet.

So that's not good behavior on the part of your mother. Talk to her again. That can also cause trouble with the school. But definitely try to talk to your mother again. The best thing is right now and tell her that you are really not doing well.

In an emergency, call school tomorrow morning and say that you have a sick leave but your mother wants to send you to school. They'll sort it out for sure.
