How do everyone get into the house?

Do any of you know the "American Horror Story" series? For example, it runs on Netflix. I already have some episodes behind me and ask myself over and over again how the creepy people (like the guy / the woman in the latex suit, or the restricted neighbor daughter) come into the horror house. Hope one of you can enlighten me, because it triggers me badly if there are no signs of intrusion anywhere.

They can't all have a key or begin to come through the door. But if you are familiar with the series… What is it actually about or what is it about? Are they ghosts, or is one of them dreaming all the time, or how?

But I can tell you so much without spoilers. Constance's daughter (the girl with Down syndrome) is probably coming into the house because she knows different ways to enter the house. Secret passages, loopholes etc.
Do you remember the very beginning of episode 1? There she was smaller and threatened the two boys. She seems to know the house very well 👍🏻. Maybe played there many times before when it was empty?
