I have had the iMac 21.5 "" 017 in the middle version for several months now
Because I travel a lot I wanted to get a MacBook Pro 13 "2019 (the one with 2.4 GHz).
I'm currently using my iMac for:
a little video editing
image editing
Netflix
And for texts
is the iMac or MacBook Pro better for these areas?
And which device is generally better for all areas? IMac or MacBook Pro?
In a customer recession via a MacBook or iMac on Media Markt's iNet page, a customer complains about this book / laptop that it is overpriced for performance and that it is not really fast, + small hard drive and everything.
In my opinion: just buy a more powerful normal PC laptop with IPS display, it is faster and cheaper!

If only a little video editing is really enough, a Macbook Air, the new affordable model. A Macbook is always expensive because it has a built-in battery and an SSD, and the case is made of aluminum, for PC only plastic.
If a hard drive is installed in the iMac, this is of course cheap in comparison.
With the MB Air you can also connect an external hard drive, 2TB is already available for 60 euro. You need that as a backup anyway.
