Watching series is a leisure activity. You do that because it's fun. He apparently enjoys commenting. If it bothers you, tell him and look alone if necessary.
So my friend does it when he needs to annoy me. But you can counter that. For example, I just switch off his PC while he is playing any shooter online. Love means "give and take";)
