I connected my JVC RX5020R to my Mi 4s 55inch smart tv with a toslink cable. On the reciver my Klipsh RB 2 are shot as a compact front, the center is connected to an old JVC satellite speaker and an Elac esp 50 and as a rear so 200 Mark life lidel speaker 😂 are enough for that…
Now the problem is that if I watch netflix, it sounds net after 5.1. Is that because the reciver is so old and only supports Prologic 2 or what else? If I search for decoded Prologic 2 videos on yt, I have 5.1 but on netflix the voices are put there no matter where they come from the center. Effects that come from the right or so are reproduced via the front speakers and only with music or so the rear play… I watch house of money… There's even bold that the 5.1 supports… So why is that? Of course, house of money jz net is definitely something where there are blatant sound but nevertheless the effects that happen in the background should be played back through the rear speakers…
Prologic only simulates surround. No actual surround track is processed.
And how do I get real surround? Or is the net possible 🙆
With a receiver that is able to process the corresponding Dolby Surround or PCM streams!
So jurassic World on Amazon prime video is in 5.1 … But netflix net
Netflix uses Dolby Digital Plus. Does your receiver support this?
