How to receive live TV?

My friend has a LG TV at home (55LB650V)

We have only been watching InternetTV (YouTube, Netflix & Amazon Prime) for ages and I would like to watch live TV without any problems using DVBT-2.

We now know that the TV has something integrated in it, but what is it? Antenna or receiver? What do we need exactly? How does this DVBT-2 work? Unfortunately we do not have a user manual, since he got the TV from his best friend some time ago and I have had a satellite connection at home for 12 years. Can anyone help us?

Do you have a TV socket: cable in, connect, done. Just like the antenna. Put the antenna cable in and off you go.

The magic word is media library. There's also a live stream.

There are DVB-C, -T and -S

C stands for cable connection, T is terrestrial TV and S is satellite. T2 is the digital version of terrestrial TV, the old analogue was switched off.

Usually you can look in the TV menu and, if necessary, select which reception you want to have.

I once looked at the wall and found no connection

Do I need an antenna or receiver if I want to receive the normal DVBT from earlier? What was replaced by the new one!

bo

As I wrote above, the old DVB-T is no longer available, only the T2. And yes, you need a conventional indoor antenna.

You can easily go in via the browser, if you have iptv you just have to choose the address

The TV has only installed a DVB-T tuner, which was replaced by DVB-T2, if it has no other reception path then it would have to buy a DVB-T2 receiver in order to be able to watch TV channels, but first check whether DVB- T2 is even possible via an indoor antenna

that would be a DVB-T2 receiver that is capable of Freenet, the private channels can only be received via DVB-T2 for a fee, that costs 5.75 euro a month, but Freenet wants to raise the prices by 20%

that's a good indoor antenna

This is the TV with the specified tuners

Steer clear of such offers, is also offered on Fox TV, that is a rip off, nothing of what is said can fulfill the antenna

Yesterday I connected an antenna and ran it through and then 26 channels came, ard and zdf were of course received immediately without any problems (HD) But the private channels said "CI module". Have we ordered a Freenet card yesterday, it will probably be on the back of the TV and should it work? So that's my theory so far 🙊

As long as I watch Zattoo Live TV (trial month)

OK, then your model has already installed a DVB-T2 tuner, I have only found descriptions with DVB-T tuner for the model.

It must be a Freenet module, a card alone is not enough
