Can my supervisor forbid me to watch films from 16 even though I'm already 16?

I live in a youth facility as I have no parents and I'm 16 years old. Many supervisors forbid me / the other young people to watch films from 16, although most of them are already 16 or older. As far as I know, the supervisors can't patronize you, but they threaten to unsubscribe from netflix if we watch these films anyway. The reason is that the supervisors can decide for themselves what we watch and depending on the assessment it is then allowed or not. Is that right? And btw I have a guardian from the youth welfare office who allows that. Does it make sense?

LG and thank you in advance for all the answers

And depending on the assessment, it is then either allowed or not.

I think you have reasons if you don't want to.

The only thing that helps is looking for a conversation and asking why.

The supervisors are the legal guardians in the facility, so you are also allowed to do this because you are not of legal age.

Yes, of course, that's legal. The age ratings only allow the respective age groups to be shown publicly. But they do not oblige you to do so. Ultimately, the parents or carers decide what the minor can and can't see.

Ca

Supervisors are allowed to do that. And since you have given your legal defense to the supervisor, you can't go to a lawyer.

No, they are not entitled to parenting

But I have a guardian and he allows that, but the supervisors don't even though they have no rights over me, so they clearly have the responsibility, but patronizing that just amazes me

But. For example, if minors have an official guardian and the minor lives either in an institution or in a foster family, the parental authority is automatically transferred from the guardian to those who are caregivers or foster parents.

Only important decisions such as right of residence, surgery consent, etc. Only the guardian can decide.
