I had Prime up to and including yesterday. From the selection of films, it was really good. Still, I thought it was a rip off. You paid a monthly fee and you still had to pay for many films again even though you already had a subscription. You ask yourself why you have to pay even though you have already paid.
My son told me yesterday to do Netflix. I heard, however, that the selection shouldn't be that good. With series, yes. But not with films.
Then I would be interested in whether there are still good alternatives to Prime or Netflix.

Netflix DE has an abnormally small selection in contrast to the American representative.
Personally, I think Netflix is better than Amazon Prime.

So i only have Netflix. I think the movies are better on Prime and come earlier after release than on Netflix. The series are on Netflix but overall I think better. Although there has been so much trash coming out lately that many say is good.
You can get movies even faster on Sky. And there are (still) series there that run on HBO in the US. But it's pretty expensive if you want series and films.
Interesting series have been coming out on HBO Max (which is not yet available in Germany) from time to time. And I think they want to increase in the future. I don't think the streaming service has been around for that long.
Prime also offers a free Twitch subscription per month, Prime Gaming with free games, free content for games, Amazon Music with free music, free audio books, free e-books and free shipping on all Prime products. It costs less than Netflix.
And that you can only buy a lot of films is not entirely true. Amazon has its own shop on offer. Netflix does not have a shop and therefore does not show you all the films that you do not get. So it's better seen on Amazon because you can still see what you can't see on Netflix.
Yes, but I have taken out the subscription and I paid for it monthly. There are then some films that you have to buy again despite a subscription.
They are not included in the subscription. It's the same with Netflix - you have to pay for films that are not part of the Netflix subscription if you want to see them.
