I can understand that werewolves in combination with vampires, and also zombies in combination with the end of the world, have long been a proven recipe for trendy movie material. I too could not get enough of zombies.
But now? What shoud that? For example, every few weeks Netflix launches a new killer virus, vampire or zombie show. And for critics and audiences, most of them do poorly. Why do the filmmakers do that?
That "A Netflix Production" in principle can't be seen as a quality feature, is already clear for some time. But why this focus on long-lost stories and stylistic devices? I do not understand it with the best will.
It is probably cheaper to recycle the costumes and masks often enough than to dispose of them, as the plot is recycled all the time.
That a lot of nonsense is spread is clear. But why this zombie-fixed nonsense?
Obviously this is still selling well.
The end of the world is currently popular… You have to use it! But it's more about these Endzeitbilder… Everything broke, Mistwetter, etc.
