Darling in the franxx season 2?

I would like to know your opinion about the 2nd season of ditf (Darling In The Franxx) and ask me what you think of the idea of a season 2 of ditf.
Actually nothing was announced and most of them have already given up their hopes for a sequel. They say the main story is over. (So the aliens have been defeated and the couple 002 and Hiro are dead)

The anime was really celebrated and has a lot of fans. -Even the manga sold extremely well for being a manga and the original being an anime.
Even if the end is so unnecessarily sad and also went in a negative direction, ditf has a lot of fans who would like to see season 2, if not even more.
But so far the Studio Trigger has not announced anything and most people are of the opinion that nothing more will come, precisely because the Virms have been defeated and hiro and zero two are dead.
But that's not true at all.
First of all, hiro and zero two were reborn, and from that alone you can bring out a new season (because, to be honest, almost nobody was interested in the Franxx and most of them only celebrate these lovers of the series)

And besides, the virms were not completely defeated.
Didn't they even say in the end, just before everything was blown up, that they would definitely come back and destroy the earth?
So that screams, in my opinion, for a sequel.
And I think that in season 2, hiro and zero two will meet again and somehow will remember everything again.

Maybe then they'll use the franxx again to defeat the virms?

And even if they wouldn't do anything about the franxx and virms, you can just continue about the new life of zero two and hiro, because that's exactly what most fans want.

And here are some more signs that something should come soon:

- The Ditf facebook page recently became active again after not coming online for 2 years or so.

- At the end of the last episode there's something like: A new journey begins.
Even if that's not really a sign of a sequel, it can mean something.

-The studio behind ditf is currently working on a cyberpunk anime. And that right after the first ditf season had ended. (They probably started the new anime in the middle of working with ditf.
And they do it with Netflix, so something big is to come.
And it's likely that they'll continue with ditf after the cyberpunk anime. Just because it sold so well and the fans want more and there can be more (hiro and zero two are reborn and the virms are still alive)

What do you think? Do you think it's coming soon, even if not soon, maybe in

My opinion:

I think they don't do Season 2 anymore because the main story is over and Zero Two (002) and Hiro (016) have died. After they wiped out the Virms! (I don't think they would come back again in a second season, because it would be almost the same again and it would just be boring if everything was repeated only against the Virms instead of them. Both were reborn and meet again but when their further story (after the rebirth) a 2nd season is made and the 2 new children (names are unknown) remember everything what do you want to see then? How the 2 grow up? How they remember that everyone your friends / comrades are now dead?
it would be way too much effort that the story might not go down well, resulting in less sales.

Personally, I would be very happy about a second season, no matter how bad it might be, because I'm also interested in how things go with the two new children, but unfortunately it will probably not happen

Nothing more comes. The series is self-contained and the subject ended.

I don't remember which anime it was, but someone else said "nothing comes up, it worked" etc. But after five years, without any hints, the announcement of the next season suddenly came. So don't be so sure, no matter how much time passes, the anime can always be taken over from another study and continued.

If I answer a question then correctly. Especially when it comes to one of my favorite anime.

And something else:

in the manga there's a happy ending. The Virms have been completely removed from the plot. Hiro and ZeroTwo live peacefully with the others. If it were to get a sequel through a film or something like that, one would very likely fall back on the manga ending, ie the happy ending is the "correct" ending (I copied from another question because I haven't read the manga myself. ) Maybe that makes you happy or makes you easier.
I advise you to read manga as the sequel is usually there. You can read the manga on some sites for free and you don't have to buy them.
