I want to buy a new Ipad, but I'm not sure which of the two it should be. I will use it for my education as well as for private use (Netflix & Co). Does it make sense to invest in the Ipad Air or is the Ipad 8 enough?
Take the iPad Air. I own it and think it's absolutely worth the price. YOU have the advantages of Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil 2 as well as a pleasant, but not too large, screen.

I have a normal iPad, that's enough, but if you have the money, invest in the Air, which gives you the benefits of Pro and more case options. (Cases are mostly designed for Air or Pro and the normal one "also" fits in, but not well.)
So I have the Ipad 8 and I'm completely satisfied with it. For me it is enough for university as a digital notepad, I also use it as a device for Netflix, srfen etc and thanks to aplle pencil for drawing. I highly recommend it!
How can you write on it with the Apple Pencil? Many say that it doesn't work so well on the normal Ipad
Oh that's going very well. It's just the 1st generation of the Apple Pen and therefore you have to charge the thing either via the Lightning port on the Ipad or using the adapter provided. But it can be charged in a few minutes, even mega fast at the socket and the pressure sensitivity is also good.
