What is your opinion on the Netflix hate?

Netflix removed 29 anime. That's why a lot of people had Netflix.

It's a shame that a lot of people had Netflix and pretend that Netflix is the only legal anime streaming provider. There are enough others with ten times more choice AND lower prices or even free. Are the brains of most German anime fans so limited that they only know Netflix or don't even look for other streaming providers on the internet?

Netflix doesn't specialize in anime. That's why there isn't so much choice. Licenses expire. Nevertheless, Netflix keeps supplying fans with new anime. There have even been really good ones there lately. So not necessarily a reason to quit Netflix or to have it because of the low selection.

It's your own fault if you only get Netflix for anime.

Below this video you will find 99.9% hate comments. You can get an idea of it yourself.

Maybe I expressed myself a little nastily: /

But that was more aimed at people who say, "There's now so little choice" or "What should you get Netflix for now" or "Now I'm quitting, Netflix is no longer useful".

It has nothing to do with just or unjust. The licenses have simply expired or Netflix no longer has the corresponding licenses.

I don't watch anime - I can't do anything with it, so I don't care.

And 'hate' comments are likely to come mostly from non-paying teenagers.

Netflix will hardly care if the teenagers will watch others - parents will probably be more happy if their offspring don't sit in front of the TV all the time.

Most of the younger ones don't know licenses, that's probably the problem…

To be honest, it doesn't come as a surprise to me. It's getting more and more exclusive services. Wakanim (where many peppermint titles are streamed) belongs e.g. Joined Funimation last year. Viz Media Europe (Kazé, Anime on Demand) has been part of Crunchyroll for some time. It didn't surprise me that peppermint and Kazé / AOD titles are disappearing from Netflix. Of course, it is possible that Netflix will take some of them back into the program, but in the longer term they will also invest more in their own content.

Netflix is just more accessible. As a teen, especially, you can hope that mom and dad will pay for the subscription, as they may use the service themselves. It looks different with pure anime streamers.

Well now you get to know her.

That's life - you can't always have everything.

Those who are really so young to understand that are not paying customers anyway - they are adults or their parents.

I know licenses and pay for Netflix myself. Still upset me about it.

That's what it looks like. Really captured.

See you, but especially with younger viewers who do not earn their own money, it is difficult to get a subscription to other streaming services. Sure, Wakanim and Crunchyroll are both free, but you might not be a sub-fan or want to watch ads. It's easy with Netflix: Most families already have a subscription there, which is why it is easiest for anime lovers to get hold of anime. That's why it's really not easy for some people (I'm one of them myself).

Of course, it's a shame if some are taken down, but there are also new ones in the program, it's not as if anime are disappearing entirely from Netflix.

And as you said, Netflix is not a provider that focuses purely on anime and licenses will expire at some point. You always have to expect that a license will not be extended.

Whereby free is already limited (if you want to watch with synchro). But yes, even there there are 1-2 pages.
