Will the Greens get rid of YouTube and Netflix when they come to power? They are against streaming services because their computers consume a lot of energy! I can't live without streaming!
No they won't.
They won't be able to do that, even if they want to
Since both are not based in Germany, you can only "forbid" them in Germany and you should be able to handle something like that with a VPN.
I don't think they'll do that anyway.
Even if they make it, some judge will find a paragraph in the Basic Law that nullifies the prohibition.
Also, I don't think they will try as they rely on the votes of the young voters. Many of them then no longer choose.
The unnecessary power consumption by transmitting nonsense in the network is eliminated. I think that's good, but tictoc is missing from your list.
Just because you do not want to have something or do not make use of it does not mean that there are not others who do make use of them. And that you want to dictatorially impose your will and lifestyle on others says a lot about you.
And why is electricity consumption unnecessary when hundreds of millions of people use it?
But it would have something good: then you could even literally say that the Greens catapult us back into the Middle Ages (or, seriously, into the 90s).
