TV sound transferred to surround system?

I've been buying a Harman / Kardon system for about 5 years and bought a LG Oled TV yesterday. Now I use a Receiver to watch the remote works perfectly. But if I want to look over the Smart TV now Netflix then he uses the sound of the TV. How do I connect the TV to the surround system? With an optical cable, I have already tried it but there's no sound and yes I have then in the settings as an audio output device, the optical output selected.

I connected it via a hdmi cable the Phillips recognizes it as an arc connection! Look if your possibly synonymous hinbekommst? It would be easier than having to constantly tell him what he should play it over! Advantage, as soon as you turn on the telly, the system automatically goes on! That's at least the case with me

You would have to know which connections your system has. There are two possibilities:

1.) Either your system has HDMI inputs and outputs. Then you connect the TV with HDMI at the exit, and the receiver at an entrance (eg SAT or something like that).

2.) You can use the system purely as a public address system, if you just leave the optical cable. But you have to adjust in the TV settings → audio settings that the sound is now sent over the optical cable.

I assume that you have also chosen the right entrance at the AVR…

I had GoT times Netflix times in the trial, but I agree to be able to agree that even with Netflix the sound "German" or German 5.1 could set…

Does the sound work e.g. At Youtube?

It would also be helpful to know which AVT and which Tv it is exactly…

Note: the TE has written that he has set the Toslink on the LG as an audio output

EDIT: AVR not AVT
