Linear TV is still hardly seen today. One exception is football and live sports. Personally, I consume this mainly at SKY and Eurosport. Everything else at Netflix or on call.
Are you or your family paying for GEZ? I think as long as there will be at least the öffis, the other Sell little time extremely expensive, so probably also a while.
I do not think that so few see it, especially the older ones have that better I think.
No, I do not pay GEZ, neither does my family.
Where exactly are you from?
The public finance so yes with this compulsory levy.
The private channels now have media libraries on the Internet and sell just ten seconds advertising for thousands of €. As long as that reckons they will hardly stop.
Yes, but you wanted to know when it's dead, That would probably last for the reasons mentioned above. Personally, I do not just watch Youtube Nextflix and Amazone. And now and then a two game shows later in the media libraries.
Who funded lies media and propaganda with the compulsory levy is guilty in my view.
I've never had "linear television" in my life and I do not know what that means. I'm very satisfied with the public-law program, in particular with Arte, 3sat and Phoenix, and look at it in the online media library as well - regardless of whether it is "linear", "flat" or "volumetric" television "falls.
As far as the lies press and further I can tell you nothing, I personally do not pay them. I'm also opposed to the concept of such a compulsory charge. If I would like to have the opportunity to decide for myself.
In the Third Reich and in the GDR there was also no compulsory broadcasting. That was voluntary. If you do not pay GEZ, you do everything right.
That's your personal decision. That was not the question.
What is "linear television"? Then I can go for an answer.
Linear TV is the offer that the TV channels broadcast when you turn on the TV. When television programs are broadcast 1: 1 and received directly, it is called linear television. By contrast, non-linear television refers to the time-delayed use of TV broadcasts by viewers.
Ok, then I misunderstood the question. In my opinion, "linear television" will continue to exist alongside on-demand services in the coming decades, otherwise there would be no more live broadcasts and not everyone wants to constantly put together their own program. Especially with regard to public law, it will probably continue for the foreseeable future, as will radio, but supplemented by media libraries.
In the private broadcasters will probably drop out of feature films, because in times of Netflix and Co. Hardly anyone wants to watch films with commercial breaks. However, formats such as Germanys Next Topmodel u. Ä., Where as in sports the simultaneous "community experience" in front of the TV in the foreground, for which a fixed date is needed. The number of private broadcasters will probably be reduced over the next few years.
Linear television is no longer broadcast so that unforeseen events are avoided in time to be broadcast unfiltered in the millions of households.
It also does not really matter if you transfer something 1: 1 in time, I think. Except in the age of smartphones in competitions. Even livestreams on social media are not transmitted linearly.
