Is 32GB enough for an Ipad (school)?

I bought my cousin her IPad (2018) with 32GB for 150 euro. Unfortunately she fooled me and said that the device has 64GB.

I'm now in doubt as to whether I should not sell it again and invest more money for more storage. I also want to get the Apple pen and keyboard.

I only need the iPad for school (i.e. No Netflix and co.).
I'm currently graduating from high school and want to do homework, write things down and occasionally create a presentation.

Is there enough 32GB or should I sell it again?

I pay 9.99 euro per month for 2TB storage in the cloud. Can that help me too? I don't know me that way.

Ju

If it's for school, that's enough.

ab

The cloud storage can help you. I would simply give the ipad back to my cousin and get the money back

ab

Well not really for video editing and you do that in school more often

Le

So that's enough for school. Word documents and such text files require little memory, and you can also hang an external hard drive on them and transfer the necessary information. The cloud is still there, you can save a lot about it.
My tip: always make 2 backups in 2 places.

an

I have never done that in my entire school career and certainly not in class with my own equipment. And it wasn't long ago that I graduated. In which subject do you want to do that? This would also disadvantage students from poorer backgrounds.

Ka

That's enough for school. The 50GB iCloud for 1 euro would still be thick enough. You never need 2TB for your schoolwork in life!

Ka

Yes, that's enough. My wife also has a 32GB iPad and uses it to make instructional videos for her students.

Gu

I'm at a standard high school. We don't do something cool like video editing 😅 I don't have computer science either.

Ka

That is a shame. For example, in the corona homeschooling phase, my wife had her students make presentations in the form of videos. So it is probably not a question of the school form but of the teacher style ;-)

ab

We receive equipment for this from the school but can also bring our own. We did this in the subjects: sport, German, natural sciences, art, social studies and religion (I can at least remember that, but there are probably more subjects).

Sa

I was at a normal comprehensive school and we did video editing or a music video which we should then cut.

ab

But has more to do with the school and how modern the sco is. Our entire technical equipment was renovated 3 years ago. New buildings were also built. Smartboards are standard in every subject and classroom, and there are 2 computer rooms in each year

Gu

Although now that you say it. Recently had to create a stop-motion film and trailer

Gu

Sounds mega cool! My friend is great in an iPad and I envy him a little bit

Ka

But that has nothing to do with the tasks the teachers give the students. Sure, in a school equipped with multimedia, the probability is higher, but it can also happen in other schools that there's a teacher who does not take away with "new media"…

Ka

Well, as long as the "iPad classes" also follow a reasonable teaching concept, that's a cool thing. However, I know the so-called "teaching concepts" of some schools regarding such iPad classes and this is rather hair-raising than what you could call "sensible use of media".

am

This is enough for school 😉

ab

Yes with us almost all teachers can use a "modern" device. At least enough to let us work with it

ab

We're all ipad classes

ab

They are often not used sensibly by us (from the pupil's side) because many have just enough practice to look up the solution on the internet or to outsmart the teacher

Ju

Even for video editing it is enough. There's still d3n cloud storage.

ab

Yes I mentioned that in my answer

Ju

But not in your comment that I was referring to did not read your answer. ^^

ab

Sry thought we comment here all the time under my answer
