First of all: I just want to build a friendship with the girl, no relationship!
And I used to have such bad contact with a girl from my class. Then yesterday she asked me something about the homework and we got into conversation, we talked about Netflix series and what we think about it that school will soon be back. I want to write with her more often and maybe even build a friendship, but I somehow want to write to her so that it doesn't come across randomly.
Just try it with a "Hey" or "Hey, I was just watching the series and I wanted to ask you questions." Maybe you can even ask them if they heard anything new from school. Be yourself and not so cramped.
Just don't worry so much about it. Do what you feel like, it won't kill you right away.
