Since my second Chromecast will bless the temporal in the foreseeable future, it is time for a new alternative. To my concern:
I bought a suitably powerful Tiny PC, which is now attached to the television via Displayport and connected to the network via LAN. Now I would like to be able to use my smartphone (Android) to mainly cast videos from Youtube, Netflix or from the web as known from Chromecast (via DLNA?) To my PC. Is there a mediasuit or something similar with which the project can be realized? Or would KODI or LibreELEC be more the means of choice?
I'm open to all constructive suggestions!
Linux knowledge is also given to a relatively good extent, but unfortunately I currently have no clues as to how I should proceed most sensibly.
With that in mind, thank you!
Kodi and libreelec are the means of choice. But Netflix and Co. Can cause problems as far as I know. But it's been a good time since I can try it out.
You can also use the Kodi app to remotely control the device from your smartphone and, for example, send YouTube videos to Libreelec.
