Will Joyn have to give me the money back if I can't use your product?

I bought Joyn a few hours after midnight today. For a month. When I wanted to use Joyn, I was suddenly told that I couldn't use Joyn on Linux. In other words, I can't use Joyn.

Well, then I wrote to customer support. And there I explicitly asked again whether they could help me. They said no. And there's no money back either.

So, I can only WARN anyone who wants to use Joyn. Joyn obviously has poor customer service. I can easily watch Amazon, Netflix and everything else on Linux. But Joyn? No, for SECURITY REASONS this is not possible. They didn't give any great warnings when they registered. No problem either, but then they should give the money back.

PS! I'm a computer scientist myself. The fact that Linux is not allowed here makes absolutely no sense. That's why you can watch Netflix and Co. But not Joyn.

They can't handle your money until you have a single opportunity to watch a video. Linux is well known software for programmers, so it could be hacked

cl

The reason makes no sense. Linux is much more difficult to hack than Windows, for example. Because it is less widespread in the desktop area, Linux is much more secure.

I would talk to a lawyer about that. You can't take advantage of the service that was not apparent before, and then you actually have to get your money back.

It may be enough to threaten the lawyer 😉

Em

That fulfills the criminal offense of "fraudulent misrepresentation"

Let them know in writing and threaten a lawyer.

At the same time, you can file a criminal complaint with the public prosecutor or the police and / or inform the consumer advice center about such practices.

Yes, I know, but I meant something else by that. Google times for kali linux

cl

This is a PenTesting distribution, I know that. But that has nothing to do with the case. 🙈 Just because hacking tools are available doesn't mean I can't be denied service.

Or do I just get it wrong.

Se

I know that you can't be denied service, but the only thing is that with the help of linux, for example, Joyn could be hacked "easier". But that doesn't mean they can take your money

cl

When it comes to hacking, it makes no difference whether I use Joyn myself or just want to hack their server 😛

Pr

No other streaming service has better customer service than Joyn

you can blame them for a lot in this case, but not that!
