Is a Macbook Air 2020 enough for surfing, emails, office and Netflix? I will not use it to edit photos, cut videos or gamble. Or should I rather go for the pro, but that is significantly more expensive?
Please no answers like "I would not buy a Macbook" or "bad and too overpriced" does not help me.

That is more than sufficient. But keep your hands off the smallest config, you don't want an i3 and with i5 it hardly costs more. And take the max. RAM, you never know what you want to do in the future.
