Can you download blob videos in HTML?

I was planning to download series from the browser version of Netflix and saw that the videos are stored as "blob: netflix.com/xyz".

I've looked at some guides now, but they're either not Netflix-friendly or they are obvious viruses.

So is there a way to download a video from Netflix or from a blob?

Ma

No, that doesn't work, I can speak from experience, I've already tried and researched everything

OK thanks

Ma

It is not that easy. The videos are also very strongly DRM-protected and can't be played back after downloading.

Downloading and looking offline is only possible if you use the Netflix app from the Microsoft Store on Windows 10. These videos can then only be played in the app due to the DRM protection.

The only option would be to play the Netflix videos on the website in full screen and then record that with OBS https://obsproject.com/de.

Just try it out.

There's one exception… If you manage to intercept the video, then it works, but it doesn't work straight out of the blob… Example: YouTube uses blob, but if you want the video, you can reverse it by making a whole finds a specific file where it is stored. But the likelihood of encountering such a file is very low

I already had the idea with OBS, but then sometimes you just have the gui in the way

Ma

You can also set up OBS to set hotkeys for recording, stopping and saving.

I meant the Netflix GUI

Ma

Then you have to do it like this: Deactivate the screen shutdown in Windows and do not move the mouse when you play a Netflix video in full screen in the browser. Then record, stop and save at OBS using the hotkey buttons. There's always a way. You just have to think outside the box.

Of course not

Plus, it would be illegal anyway and would be prosecuted.
