I had netflix until recently. At some point my friend offered me that I'm a student and have to pay a lot of other things to stream his sister's netflix. Since he also looks over her netflix and has his own profile, it would be no problem to look in his profile. He asked her and she also had no problem with that, since she hardly streams herself. I wrote to her personally anyway and asked again she gave me her acc and had absolutely no problem with it
However, I never met his sister live. I ran to his house and a girl came towards me, looked at me and smiled, smiled slightly back and ran past. It turned out to be his sister. She went to my friend and said she thought I was rude I couldn't even say hello. I knew her from pictures I just didn't recognize her. I asked my friend if I should apologize to her and he said oh calm down. Apparently not. Now she threw me all serious out of the Netflix acc and changed the password.
I'm not interested in netflix simply the principle. I'm relatively fresh with my boyfriend and only recently got to know his family and now something like that. I really don't want an argument.
Should I write to her? Or just ignore it?
Write to her if it calms you down and tell her the situation again from your point of view and that it was not intentional.
Yes, I would write to her briefly and tell her that you did not recognize her during the brief meeting and that it was not a bad intention. I would like to thank her that you have been able to use her Netflix account so far and just ask if you can meet with your friend for coffee or tea.
Write briefly that your friend told you she was his sister and you didn't really recognize her, or realized that too late. So everything should be fine.
Well, apologizing NOW after she denied you her Netflix account would be stupid.
Just leave it.
"I ran to his house and a girl came towards me, looked at me and smiled, smiled slightly back and ran past"
Was that on the street or in the stairwell or did she just come out of the apartment?
In the street
