(The witcher netflix) I don't understand something?

I'm just in episode 4 and the previous episodes were always quite normal but now the queen is living again and the others do not understand it and why does cirila's mother live?

The series is full of leaps in time. They are no longer alive, they show the past before the girl escaped.

It was all flashbacks

At the beginning I didn't really check it because I started the series out of curiosity / interest & don't know the game or the books, I'm almost through with season 1 and now in episode 7 it really made sense with the flashbacks, you will notice ^^
