Nobody knows exactly how they do it at The Witcher, but e.g. Discovery was also shown only one episode a week.

I don't know about Netflix that they release an episode every week. The series is a film adaptation of a novel and has won the broad dimensions with the game. The second season should already be confirmed and a total of seven seasons are said to be produced.
Either way, it will be awesome to watch.
