The non-smoker organization Truth Initiative found that the most popular programs for the 15-24 year target group have an increased number of "smoker incidents" in series. The streaming provider Netflix stood out with its series, led by Stranger Things with 182 smoker scenes in the first season.
Is the criticism justified? Should you regulate smoker in series more?
I suppose you make problems again where there are none, otherwise the types count the number of colored or female actors and criticize that.
Otherwise, Stranger Things plays in another time, if there were any vegan, non-smoker or hipster that would not necessarily fit into the picture.
I'm really getting on the point, that every little thing starts immediately who says 'I feel offended'
In the near future we will watch Star Wars, which we rename in Star Peace, and there will be intense group cuddling, but not too much, not that somebody is going to be discriminated, provoked or anything else.
This is so prevalent that the really important things go down completely.
The "criticism" itself is already justified, presumably it is also behind a market-economic strategy to present something constantly in films.
On the other hand, it just gets annoying that because of every pups a trick is made, an organization / movement is founded, if you start like this you can go on and on, about fastfood, beauty industry, religions, minorities etc.
I only hear mimimi
I mean in Western times that was also admitted openly, but I hardly think anyone is so strongly influenced that he comes along after a movie and says "hey, I should start smoking".
Would these hobbylosen heftigtuer time to use so much energy to enjoy old people in the retirement home, to plant trees, to carry out dogs in the shelter, help the old neighbor in shopping or or, or, then somebody would really help!
