How do I get a television signal? Need

I need your help because my little brother would like to have his own TV in his room and he will get it too.

But it's about that he can only watch Netflix, Youtube and Co. Because we only have 3 access to television at home. Everyone has such a connection in their room, but only on 3 connections do you get a signal. (I don't know why I don't know) These 3 connections are unfortunately all in use and that's why you can't simply connect your TV.

But now he would still like to watch TV otherwise you could do the same with a cell phone, tablet or something

We have already tried it with a rod antenna but there we only got the channels "Das Erste, ZDF and CO", so no Sat1 or RTL or the like. And a 14 year old can't do anything with these channels.

Now my question is do you have any idea how he can "watch" television properly?

So what do you have to buy or what to adjust differently.

Thank you for your help.

Attachment: Unfortunately, you can't just unlock a connection, according to my parents.

The fastest way should be a DVB-T2 receiver. It costs about 50 euro once and then you have a card that you have to activate and that costs about 70 euro per year. Then you can watch everything in HD quality. You need a room antenna for the receiver.

Wr

I recommend you Zatto costs 9.99 euro (I use it myself) and can receive 106 channels (RTL, Pro7, Nickelodeon etc.) there's also a 30-day trial subscription.

what I advise against is DVB-T2 because there's not DVB-T reception everywhere!

If he receives ZDF and Co with rod antenna then the TV has a DVB-T2 tuner installed, so he does not need a receiver.

Do you know which way you receive, cable television or satellite?

With cable television, an antenna splitter could simply be used on one connection and he could then also watch television via cable.

Does he have internet access in his room?

Ma

Install either a small satellite dish or IPTV

an

We have sat. And yes he has

Av

Ok, it doesn't work with the splitter on sat.

There's the Magenta TV Stick from Telekom, through which it can receive all stations via the Internet, which can be used regardless of what you have for an Internet provider

or the Vodafone Giga TV Net Box, which can also be used by any provider

Thanks for the effort and good answer. I have now chosen Vodafone GIGA TV because I'm a Vodafone customer myself
