Offline video streaming via cable from smartphone to TV possible?

We will soon be moving into an apartment for a longer period of time with only weak Wi-Fi. In order to continue using Netflix and Amazon Prime Video (previously via Fire TV Stick), I would like to download the videos from friends and then stream them later via cable to the TV in the new apartment.

Is that possible? I have both a Samsung Galaxy S10+ smartphone with a USB C port and a Huawei tablet with a micro USB port. The existing Samsung TV is unfortunately older and not a smart TV. It already has an HDMI connection, but no Bluetooth.

If the TV has HDMI, I would use a device with mini-HDMI to save the films and then play them on the TV via an adapter cable (mini-HDMI → HDMI).

Unfortunately, I do not have such a device.

Oh, now I don't really have any useful advice. The downloaded files can't be found on the mobile device and they can only be played there. Sorry, but maybe someone else has a suitable alternative for you. I'm sorry ;-) LG Hanna
