Why is the Blue Mountain State series no longer available on Netflix?

I recently wanted to watch again the series "Blue Mountain State" on Netflix. But then had to realize that there's only the movie and not the series anymore.

Can anyone tell me why it was abolished?

Netflix does not own the content. You have only purchased licenses. These entitle Netflix to show the series / movie for a period of time. If the content is not retrieved as often and the license expires, it will not be renewed and the content will disappear.
