If you like documentaries, "One Strage Rock" is very well done.
I thought omnipresence was good, altered carbon too. Omnipresence in particular also has a strong message.

As for series: I'm currently watching "Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso - Seconds in Minor".
Right, "Altered Carbon" is really addicting. However, I find the French model "Transferts - In a strange body" even more gripping. (From April 8th you can see that again in the arte media library.)
