Films / series about soldiers, etc. In training?

I'm looking for films / series as already described and if possible the protagonist should be talented or somehow stand out from his comrades. If possible, the focus should be on training. If available, comedy and realism are welcome, but only optional. If possible, the suggestions should be on Netflix, but like the genre, it's only optional.

Maybe something like Police Academy Part 1 or Full Metal Jacket.
