Neon Genesis Evangelion German Dub or Sub on Netflix?

I want to finally watch NGE and now the time has come. On the English Reddit, however, I often read about "bad" English subs and that one should look in English rather than just with English subtitles. What is preferred in Germany, Japanese with German subtitles or German soundtrack?

I find the German synchro from NGE a smooth crime on the series. I saw it when it was released (there was no sync), that's a lot more fun. The only thing that is really better about today's "version" is the picture ^^
