Problem with loading certain websites. What to do?

I need the help of technically experienced people. Some websites do not load / work for me. For example, YouTube does not load Netflix or other sites.
The ones that store for only work very slowly.

The error message on the websites that are not loading is "ERR_Timed_Out". When I ping a sample page, the request timed out and 100% data was lost.

I have usually tried to reset the router and changed the DNS server address to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, but nothing helped. The provider said it could be due to a nearby construction site, but can that be? Does it help to wait?

Do you have cable internet? If so, then you probably have a DS Lite tunnel. I.e. The provider only gives you an IPV6 address and IPV4 websites are accessed through this tunnel.

The problem is, this doesn't always work, that's why I switched to a permanent IPV4, so that you can normally access every page. Unfortunately, the providers are now reluctant to give you this.

With Youtube, Google and Facebook, for example, I know that these pages are also accessed via IPV6!

What kind of server address is that?

Server addresses for end users start with 192.168. Then it normally goes with 172. Continue, but it is not absolutely necessary. Then come max. 254 numbers for 254 computers or other devices on your network.

So you should check your settings for your IP address in your operating system. It should say "Obtain an IP address automatically". Also "Obtain server address automatically"

Then your problems should be resolved. Possibly. A restart is required. But it should work by itself even after a few seconds.

Everything seems to be fine with the IP address, but thanks.

How can I switch to IPV4 (permanent)?

ge

You have to ask the provider if you only have an IPV6 and no IPV4 and everything is regulated via DS Lite.
Dual stack means you have an IPV6 and an IPV4.
With Dual Stack Lite, the IPV4 is no longer applicable and the provider regulates it through the tunnel mentioned. How exactly can I not answer you, I'm out!

In any case, this does not always work and then websites that can only be reached via IPV4 no longer work! You can't change anything yourself!

Does the connection to such sites not work on other devices at the same time?
