Find a suitable router?

I lay down in the basement of Lan. For Netflix etc. Nevertheless, I would also like to have Wi-Fi there. No chance via the router. Dlan etc. I'm not that fan of, especially because Lan is already down.

First of all, I would like to know whether it works as I imagine it, or if there's something else where I can connect to to get a Wi-Fi signal.

The room is only 15 m² in size and 100k arrive through the cable. Although 20k would easily suffice for the Wi-Fi. The main thing for me is that I can turn off all the lights on the router and that it doesn't make any noise (beeping, etc.).

Maybe someone has recommendations within the scope of 50 euro

No, he does not need another router, but an access point.

And you can't configure the router as an access point? Think about it

Of course, if you don't use the WAN port but connect everything to the switch ports and switch off the DHCP server, you can do that too. An old router that is configured correctly does that.

Then what is your answer? In addition, a pure Wi-Fi access point has no switch ports, so it only needs an additional switch if it wants to connect something to the LAN.

Then he has the one LAN port that he used for Wi-Fi. Nice has to buy a switch again.

Not everyone is familiar with the reconfiguration of a router into an access point.

But that asks you the user interface when setting up…

Modern "routers" are now switches, routers, access points, modems and more. If you want to crumble it and make it understandable, I would rather recommend the components by name.

Routers connect networks, e.g. The LAN with the Internet. If it is in the same LAN in the basement, it does not need a router.

You need a network switch (otherwise your LAN socket in the basement is already occupied) and a WLAN access point.
Both together in one device? A router without a modem that is set up as an access point (AP) is the right choice.

Here is a cheaper one that meets your requirements (4 x LAN ports 100 Mbit / s + WLAN n standard with 3 streams = 3 antennas). The WLAN has an excellent range.

How to set it up as an access point:

PS:

I can't say whether the LEDs can be switched off… A strip of adhesive tape stuck to the LEDs also makes them very dark.
