I have not used the router for a long time. Netflix starts badly or not at all. Can it be that the router is outdated, has too little power? The router comes from 1&1, have also 1&1 contract, was the budget device.

He is just too old. Do you have the latest firmware update on it? Then he runs vlt. Better.

Make a firmware update for the router from AVM, as already suggested.

And then check if you reach at least 12 to 16 MBit / s in the download, otherwise this will be nothing with HD streaming via Netflix.

Here you can check the speed:

So the thing is already relatively old, and I have problems with the thing then synonymous not a few… The built-in Wi-Fi is quite meager.

By itself you can ask at 1und1 for a newer device or you buy it yourself and set it up.

If you do not have the dial-up data (the start code is usually enough) just ask 1und1 by phone!

Basically, you have a wide selection if you want to buy a new device, so here are a few devices:

FRITZ! Box 7412 - the successor, is sufficient if you have only one or no LAN device, and not need the whole NAS stuff. Used from 20 euro, new usually from 50 euro
FRITZ! Box 7430 significantly more connections, comparable WLAN. From 40-50 euro, new 90-100 euro
If 5GHz desired (only really makes sense if you have 50Mbit / s or upwards or If you have many other wireless networks on 2.4GHz) the 7560th Used 75 euro, new mostly 150 euro
