Telekom throttles speed over time?

In summer 2018 I bought a hybrid router from Telekom because the DSL connection in my area is incredibly slow, but the LTE network is very good. So I set everything up and always got around 120Mbit for a little over a year. It always fluctuated in the area because the radio connection is not quite as stable, but it remained reasonably constant in this area. The whole family could watch Netflix, Youtube and co. Watch in HD and everyone was happy. But since last autumn everything was suddenly different. I don't know the exact date anymore, but from one day to the next only around 40Mbit arrived. After a few days I contacted Telekom and they told me (who would have thought) that they knew nothing and that probably just more people in my area were currently straining the LTE network and could not do anything about it. After a few weeks I called again and was just as bad again. Then I asked my neighbor if he could ask if such a hybrid router would be an option for him and what speeds he could expect. He was also promised 140Mbit as I was back then. Of course you could think now that more people in my area have bought such a hybrid router and it has therefore slowed down, but what is so surprising to me is that the usual fluctuations that I always had between 6 and 12 p.m. (probably caused by the Amount of people who come from work during the period) no longer exist. For example, the speed when downloading files dropped from 12MB / s to 11-10MB / s in the said period. Now it remains constant at 4.3MB / s. I have been in touch with Telekom every few months since then and there are always other reasons that are currently Losing speed. On my last call, for example, it said that due to the Corona crisis, many more people are at home and using the LTE network. When I called ahead of time, it said that Christmas would take a lot of their vacation and would therefore surf the web more. I think it is now somewhat obvious what amazes me about the whole thing. Has anyone had a similar experience and could do something about it? I'm very grateful for any help.

Thank you for your contribution. And of course it is really annoying when something that was going really well isn't performing as well as usual at the moment.

But LTE in particular has many challenges to consider. Thus, the statements you have received can already be correct.

If you like, I would like to take a look at it and get in touch with you. Please fill out our https://www.telekom.de/...hilft-team.
