Convince fast internet owners?

I will move to a new apartment in a few weeks and will not be able to get the Internet for the time being, or I would not like to be chained to a slow line for 24 months.

But to my concern:

No cable connection is possible in the house, e.g. Via Unitymedia (Vodafone), according to Vodafone only a TV connection is possible.
According to Telekom, DSL is only possible in the house with a maximum of 6.0 Mbit / s. That is definitely not enough for me.
According to Telekom, fiber optic is not installed in the area.

I have already spoken to a few neighbors in the house and they are also not particularly taken with the Internet connection, Netflix can't look properly and and and.

I would like to send a letter to the property manager to the owner and I don't really know how I can make it tasty for you to be connected (fiber or cable doesn't really matter). I would like them to let them make an offer from Telekom, which could cost something and would be feasible. On the one hand I'm really looking forward to the apartment but on the other hand I'm totally kinked because of the extremely slow line.

If you know how I can convince the owners or how I can make it tasty for you, please write your opinion.

It is most convincing if you take over the costs, in the end that is the only thing that interests the landlord.

And what does it cost to have the street torn open and lay all the cables in the house on 10 parties? Do not know me there if it is 100/200 euro per tenant that would still be portable but what if it costs more?

As long as there are extra costs, or more costs, He will of course not agree. If the tenants bear the costs, He could certainly agree. But is not a must.

Otherwise just get Giga Cube + hotspot.

So on the street you can count on a flat rate of 100 euro per meter, from the nearest usable pipe to the plot, from then 25-74 euro per meter depending on the surface, in the house I can't tell you.

If there's no network distributor near you, one has to be built, then the price goes up rapidly.

But it may also be that your property is already developed with fiber optic, then you may only have to pay a flat rate for the house connection (approx. 750 euro)

Everything depends on the provider, the area and the expansion status.

I had already thought about it but we're quite spoiled for internet. And when I load a game from the game pass or a new one from the store (Uplay, Steam etc.) the data volume is used up within a few days. And we watch series on 4K at streaming providers and Vodafone can throttle streaming to SD quality.

I believe that an important argument in the matter is that the property gains value. This is simply not to be dismissed out of hand. Nowadays many people also look for what is available when looking for an apartment and sometimes decide against an apartment / house because the connection is not so bad and then the residential units become less attractive. So your landlord can actually only win.

One should not forget that fiber is the future. There's also more and more technology in the household that requires bandwidth, e.g. If you Think of smart home products.

Your landlord can obtain an offer to connect to our fiber optic network https://www.telekom.de/...-fuer-mich. Like to keep us up to date on how it ended.

I keep my fingers crossed that you can convince your landlord!
