Netflix all over the screen?

I wanted to ask whether you can watch Netflix or YouTube on the whole screen on a 21: 9 curved monitor or whether the picture is a bit cropped because a normal screen is not that long?
I would appreciate an answer.

Most of the movies on Netflix are in 16: 9 format as far as I know. This means that there will definitely be an area cut off. In fact, I don't know if there are movies on Netflix that are available in 21: 9 format.
