Have a DSL Basics 16 MB / s contract at 1&1 and a measured download speed of about 7 MB / s. Everything works so well with streaming services like Netflix also great. However, if I want to download files on my PC via the browser or a download manager my download speed is only about 1 MB / s if it works well. How can I explain this and possibly fix it?
I think that the page where you download it limits the downlod to prevent overloading.
Can that really be the case? After all, that's the same on every page on the internet.
You confuse MB / s and MBit / s.
The standard 16,000 DSL connection has 16 MBit. That's a maximum of 2 MB / s.
The speed test has shown you that of the booked 16 MBit only 7 MBit arrive at you, probably the lines are bad, many neighbors or you are too far away from the distributor.
7 MBit = 0.875 MB
I think you can't read. Bandwidth is measured in Mbps to American Mbps. Download speeds in MB / s, that's a difference. Just take a closer look.
