You have to help me!

I had tested netflix for a month for free and just noticed that Netflix has been debiting money for months, that's 144 euro unsaid. Will the money be debited from somewhere, be it my account, which I have never entered before or can it even be that I will eventually get an invoice with 144 euro + which I have to pay all at once?

my

Will the money be withdrawn from your account?

Sp

As far as I know that is not debited from there

Le

When creating the access for the trial month, you have to specify the payment method (PayPal, credit card, direct debit, etc.)

If you do not cancel, the trial subscription will automatically be converted into a normal subscription.

de

If you don't cancel, the contract will be renewed every month.

But if you've paid 144 euro so far, have you not noticed for more than 10 months that the subscription is still running?

So just cancel and that's the end of it. Of course, you won't get the 144 euro back, unless you can prove that you quit at the time (confirmation of termination by e-mail)

Ro

With many test offers, if you no longer want the offer after the one month, you have to inform the provider, otherwise it goes into a regular contract. I suspect that it is with Netflix - as you describe it - too. You can now only cancel Netflix as soon as possible.

But what does Netflix take money from if not from your account? Or does it run over the telephone or cell phone bill? It can of course also be the case that this offer, such as Vodafone or Telekom, has made this offer, but the same applies as above. Then you would have to cancel that with the provider.

Sp

I think this is possible via the mobile phone bill, but I haven't used this number for a long time or is no longer valid

Th

If you use it e.g. On your iPhone / ipad etc (you have downloaded the app) you can find it in iTunes under Subscriptions, and your iTunes credit will be deducted / the specified payment method will be charged

Ro

Then you have concluded this with the provider of this mobile phone contract and would have to cancel it there.

Sp

The mobile phone contract was on my brother's account at the time, so netflix has theoretically withdrawn money from his account and so I don't get an invoice? If that should happen, I would have to pay over 144 euro at once

an

Netflix clearly states during the free test phase that your subscription will be extended automatically if you do not cancel within the subscription. Thus, the contract is legal according to the German Civil Code (BGB) § 312j. However, if the money is not debited from you, at some point an invoice will be sent by post or a request to enter your account details.

Ro

I don't know, you should clarify as soon as possible with whom you or your brother signed the contract. And then inform you there what is going on with it.

an

Then ask your brother to check it out.
