My problem is about a Macbook which a well-known friend of mine got for Christmas. The basic problem is that you can't even open YouTube and you are asked for a browser update or for a new installation, but when you click on some of the grid an error message appears that a secure connection and co. Can't be established.
I've already tried externally via USB stick to load installation files for Chrome Firefox etc for the Mac when opening, but where you actually expect an upcoming installation, nothing happens except opening a text file.
Software update can also not be loaded because to my question now, does anyone have a plan like me on this crutch because something can run, you can't even open anything.

There's actually junk. It is of course possible that there's no current version of Chrome / Firefox on which YouTube is running.
