Which streaming service for anime / anime films?

I want to know which streaming service is the best for watching anime, as there are many different ones. I already own Netflix and I'm quite happy with the selection, but I would like to have even more choice.

And while we're on the subject: I'm a big Kimi no Na wa (your name) fan and I also want to enjoy the studio's latest film, Weathering with you. Is there a selection for anime films anywhere?

I'm not into the whole subject, so I would be happy about any answer and experience.

Crunchyroll, Anime on Demand = D

Of course, Netflix would be there first, but mostly not all seasons are released or published there.

Then there's Crunchyroll which is of course known for anime and comic-style things.

Then of course there are illegal sites where all of these are pirated copies, but mostly all of them can be found.

Anime on Demand: large GerDub catalog

Crunchyroll, Wakanim, Animax

And I'm not sure, but I don't think Weathering w. Y. Is streamed anywhere.

I think so too, because I couldn't find it anywhere. But thanks!

Crunchyroll doesn't have any films as far as I know.

Overall, Amazon Prime Video certainly has the largest selection of films that you have to buy. If you add the Prime Channel Animax and aniverse, of course, even more.

Otherwise there's:

Anime on Demand
ProSieben MAXX
Wakanim

ProSieben MAXX broadcasts a large number of films that you can watch on TV and in the media library in case you missed them on TV or you don't have the channel. It's completely free.

Just take a look at the program plans on Anime2You from time to time:

First of all to the question where Weathering with you is: Soon on Amazon Prime

Now on the subject of other streaming services:

Nice that you are looking for a streaming service to expand your selection. The selection of services is quite manageable. I urge you to introduce the most relevant.

Anime on Demand:

Lots of German synchro, films and series, hardly any simulcasts (some of the latest anime episodes directly after being broadcast in Japan. Netflix does not publish series until 6 months later in a row).

Crunchyroll:

Little German synchro, no films, many simulcasts

Wakanim:

Some German dubbing, few films, many good simulcasts.

Amazon Prime:

Films and series, practically no simulcasts, a medium number of German synchros, a lot not included in the subscription. Here you can book a few more titles with Aniverse and Animaxx (but it also costs extra).

Depending on what you value, you can choose one or more of these services. In my opinion, AoD would be best for you. There are also some films by Makoto Shinkai (Your Name Director) and the studio CoMix WaveFilms (Your Name Studio).

Many Thanks!

Are the films actually available by subscription or do I have to pay extra for them?

With Crunchyroll, Wakanim, Anime on Demand and Netflix, the entire offer is included with every price range.

It's an absolute mess at Amazon. There's no rule of thumb for. You have to look it up for each film individually.
