Anime on Netflix with subtitles?

I'm currently in Japan and I like to watch anime. The problem is I would like to watch Netflix anime, but there's no German subtitle. Can you somehow change that there are also Germans?

(please don't say: hey, you can also watch crunchy roll or something)

With one or two anime there's only the German Dub. Otherwise there's always OmU.

This is probably because you are currently in Japan and therefore Netflix Japan is being offered to you.

Use a VPN with a German (or European) address, then you should have German subtitles again.

Have you tried the original Netflix titles yet? I could still imagine that there are other languages to choose from

Otherwise stop with vpn as someone has already written. I myself don't really know anything about it, so whether it's legal or not and all. You would have to inquire then

Have now watched several, but all no German.
Are these languages just there where they have many foreigners.
The other Asian languages are clear and there are more Brazilians than Germans in Japan.

Mostly you can also switch to Sub. You only have to change that in "Audio and subtitles". Sometimes there are only subs. An example of this would be A Certain Scientific Railgun.
