Which CPU should I buy (AMD)?

It is so i have 3 CPUs to choose from and one option. My problem is more the option. I play CS, Fifa and simulation games every now and then. Otherwise photo editing (Adobe) while running on the 2nd monitor Netflix. Games only run on Full HD, so I chose a 1660S.

Now the following CPUs are available.

Ryzen 3600
Ryzen 2700X
Ryzen 3700X

The 3600 is better than the 2700 although it only has 6 cores and not 8. The 3700 is better than the 3600 and 2700.

The 3600 is a game monster, Zen2

The 2700X rather on applications, thanks to 8 cores, however Zen +

The 3700X A monster in Game + applications and Zen2.

What shall I do now? Should I still hit the 3Ks? The 4Ks will come out in a few months and then I would definitely buy an 8 core. I would definitely switch if these are considerably better, as was the case between the 2K and 3Ks back then. The MSI Tomahawk would be used, B450 chipset AM4. Hope that my research is not wrong and that I only need another Sokel, if at all, for the 5Ks.

What should I do? Which one should I buy? Or maybe a completely different one if I want to switch anyway. Or should I rather wait for the 4Ks?

The fact is that you get the 2700X thrown afterwards and so cheap you can no longer get a (good) 8 core.

However, the 4Ks are said to be around worlds better.

My problem is that I urgently need one now because my Asus G55VW has given up the ghost.

Has the best P / L

Would rather wait because =>

it will probably be another big step forward for AMD with all the IPC increase etc.

prices will also fall for the 2000 and 3000 models

I would still wait.

Hi

The biggest mistake you can make is always to wait. If you wait then newer hardware comes onto the market and you always want better and in the end you wait endlessly until you finally understand that you shouldn't wait.

It is best to take the Ryzen 3600 because it offers good performance in both single and multi-core. You'll be happy with the Ryzen 3600. Unfortunately there's no waiting.

I would definitely not take a 2700X anymore. Single core performance in games is still very important and the performance increase in the 3600 is not insignificant. On the contrary, quite high.

Your question is whether you should upgrade now or wait. Usually you only buy a new one when you really need one and you have already answered the question yourself. Your old calculator is probably giving up the ghost.

If you do a lot of photo editing, I would personally take the 3700X directly. If you prefer to gamble a lot and do photo editing as a hobby, then do the 3600.

Gaming: Between the 3700X and 3600 you won't notice a difference when gaming. Single core performance is still more important. Keyword: parallelization.
