What do you think of R. Kelly?

I watched the new series about R. Kelly on Netflix today and found it all pretty sad.
I always only believe in what's good in people, but sometimes that's just not feasible. Do you think that people who went through bad things in childhood automatically carry something bad in them afterwards?

Br

No, I do not think so.

Because a lot of people had a bad childhood. But only a few of them become child molesters.

Let's say R. Kelly would have grown up without the sexual abuse and could just be a child, I think then he would not have become such a sick person himself

So it shaped and confused him so much that as an adult he just kept going with other children

that's so cruel 😪

Br

I'm not at all sure about that.

Sometimes parents of criminals are interviewed and they seem completely normal to me. That can of course be deceiving.

Nevertheless, I personally think that criminals are responsible for their own actions - no matter how they grew up. After the bad deed, to cry how poor the perpetrator would be - nothing. They didn't feel sorry for their victims either, why then suddenly please for yourself.

That's right. The people are really a mystery
