Do you think it helps if I take a break from social media?

I'm W / 16 and am currently in a, so to speak, hole that I have not been able to get out of for a long time. I think you know what I mean.
I'm only on the phone even though I should be doing a lot of other things. School, drawing, piano, sports and and and… I've been neglecting the whole thing for a long time. And my sleep rhythm is also totally at the end. I stay up at least until 4 a.m. Every night and miss half the day. I think it's because of this social media stuff. I don't really want all of this, but I can't get rid of it. I have all kinds of social media apps. Twitter, tiktok, Instagram, Snapchat etc… NETFLIX is also something bad…

I think if I take these things away for a month or uninstall them, I'll get my life back on track a little. What do you think?

In lockdown you can't do too much, but you can still do a lot more than just sit on the phone.

Gr

That would certainly help.

If you can't get away from Facebook & Co., it can also become an addiction that determines your life. Similar to drugs or gambling.

Al

I think it makes more sense to cancel social media.

Buy an old cell phone with buttons or these foldable cell phones, use it for sms or calls, use prepaid credit eg from aldi costs, for example: only 3 euro for sms and telfonie

Sell the current cell phone

cancel netflix, online you can stream all film series for free tinyzone tv or fmovies to

Save your money and put it in the fund when you are 18 for advice, you are welcome to contact us in 2 years and I will find you a consultant, it costs nothing

Take a part-time job in a bakery in sales for the weekend or another job in sales / checkout / waiters

put the money aside and put it in fons part in gold part in bitcoin via coinbase for example

meditate for 10-60 minutes every day

look what you eat, ideally only cook healthy food yourself, don't put any garbage in your body

I know exactly when you're trapped in a hole. I feel the same way. But not because of social media, but because of the "aftermath" of lovesickness…

I advise you to delete all apps so that you can get out of this "addictive behavior". You don't need to delete all of them. Leave 1-2 on the phone and the rest of them all off

Ga

Uninstall it for a while and you will find yourself feeling much better. Then you can decide whether you want it again or not.

Lo

Thank you very much

Ga

Gladly. What can also help is a goal or responsibility for something in my case (16m) it is geese that I keep in the garden that I have to look after every day.

Lo

Thank you very much. I would like to do that. But that doesn't work. At least the 1 part. I need the cell phone to communicate with my teachers. Since I currently have distance learning. But I don't need insta tik tok for that. WhatsApp only. Netflix and so I want to delete it too. Thank you for your advice, I will implement it as best I can.

Lo

Interesting. I would like to be a little sportier 😭

Lo

I thought so too. I do it like this. I leave wattpat and WhatsApp on it, the rest is gone. And get well soon. If you need someone write to me

Ga

Sport has to be fun. I do sport every day because it's good and fun for me. Maybe find someone in your area who does sports and hang in there and try different sports.

Le

Delete all apps except whatsapp and others that you need for communication

You don't need social media, unfortunately only makes girls sick (also boys), we don't have a society that takes care of a strong family, that's why things happen that are sold as freedom, whole generations get lost in hedonism and egocentrism, it is pure degeneration

healthy families can't develop in this way

Lo

Thank you 😊
